In addition, Tina is the granddam of GCh Am Can Ch Char-Don Ms T's Rockin' Tyme, who was ranked in the AKC Top Ten Labradors in 2011. Rock also has had two Group 1 wins. Tina is also the granddam of Teddy, Can Ch Fawnhaven's Double Shot RN JH, who is the sire of our new Jingles' daughter, Pi. Rock, and his younger full brother, Trace, out of Tina's daughter, Peace, CharDons A Piece of Tyme, are carrying on the tradition started by the chocolate bundle of joy from Scotland known as Tina, Donalbain The Best.
Tina became a member of the Char-Don clan in Apr 1992, after Janet had taken a trip to Scotland and ended up bringing home a chocolate bundle of joy, known thereafter as Tina. She lived up to her name producing some very special kids. Until her passing she was Janet's and Don's constant companion. Tina was the matriarch of the household and was the babysitter of most of the puppies in the Char-Don household, even if she wasn't the dam of the litter.
The first of her kids to shine in the ring was Ch Fawnhaven Best of Char-Don, "Bessie," owned by Barbara and Don Ironside. Bessie was from Tina bred to the Ironside's Shooter, Am Can Ch Cedarwood Gunner O'Fawnhaven CD SH.
Bessie, bred to Ch Fawnhaven Kiva Dweller CD JH, produced more Tina grandkids, excelling in the field and in the ring, to include Hunter, Am Can Ch Fawnhaven Skye of Snowyriver RN JH, Ch Fawnhaven Double Eagle CD JH, and Can Ch Fawnhaven Yankee Peddler CD JH.
Bessie's sister, Char-Dons Chocolate Sampler was bred to Kelleygreen's Chocolatier, and produced Janet's first homebred BISS, Page, BISS Ch Char-Dons Mistress Page. Page took BISS at the PLRC specialty in 1999 under Nancy Talbot.
Bred to Marilyn Parker's Ch Sterlings Montana, "Mo," Tina produced Bentley, BISS Ch Sterling's Limited Edition CD JH, and his sister, Ch Sterling's Brown Bomber CD JH, Amelia. She took BOS to Bentley, who took BISS at the LRCSC specialty in 1999. This awesome breeding was a joint effort between Mo's owner, Marilyn Parker, and Janet.
